Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Reggie Wayne Morris plays his Blues with infectious passion, charm and humor and puts The “Show” In Show Business.
Raised on his grandparents farm in Charlottesville, Va. Reggie now based in Baltimore, MD. was reared on Gospel and Blues learning the guitar at an early age from musical family members.
As a contemporary guitarist his Uptempo Rock-Edged Style developed from listening to Jimi Hendrix and B.B. King and fusing their influences with his own unique approach to create his “Boogie Woogie Rhythm & Rockin’ Blues” that allowed him to tour Italy, France, Hawaii and the U.S. with an appearance at Carnegie Hall as a “Career Milestone”. He has the distinction of being the only artist to perform at the Baltimore Blues Society Festival nine consecutive years having the unique opportunity to be both the Opening and Closing act on one particularly memorable occasion.
Reggie’s first recording “Gotcha By Your Blues” produced by Grammy-Nominated and Handy award winning writer, historian and educator Larry Hoffman served as the launching pad for his development as a songwriter/recording artist and provided invaluable experience for his future musical journey.
His current CD “Don’t Bring Me Daylight” is his latest effort to pay homage to the past by writing contemporary witty lyrics that speak to the Blues and Southern Soul listeners of today with all original songs composed by himself and Gerald “Gypsy” Robinson who also co-produced his 2nd CD “Blues Binge” on Round Robin Records. His Premier Appearance in July at Artscape was Energetic and Engaging earning him new fans and supporters.
This project Reached #2 on The Living Blues Radio Chart in Torino Italy in addition to receiving Reviews in Living Blues and Blues Music Magazines, Big City R&B Magazine, Rootstime(Belgium) and ILBlues Magazines(Italy)expanding his Global Appeal with Blues Fans.
In 2017 Reggie will be promoting “Don’t Bring Me Daylight” with live performances throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
