Wine Down Friday w/ The Tonehounds
May 10 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm$5
The Tonehounds live show is an audio tour through the urban and rural landscape of American Music – full of swingin’ blues, rock and roll, 40s-50s jazz and their own original compositions. The Tonehounds were un-officially formed in 2002 just south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Soon after birth they packed up the guitars & drums and set out to play any place that would that was supporting live music. While not a retro act, the Tonehounds live performances clearly reflect their collective influences and after 15+ years together, the band has developed their own style. The sound bridge between old and new is built on respect given to the raw organic feel of the musicians that inspired them to play music in the first place. The music is fully in the moment full of both tight arrangements and take-off improvisation. In a typical evening with the ‘hounds you are sure to hear an eclectic mix from Tom Waits to Louis Jordon with many carefully selected covers and original music featured nightly.
Knob Hall’s Wine Down Fridays are family-friendly, however anyone ages 15 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times. $5 admission. (Children and young adults 15 and younger receive two tickets for waters, sodas or chips.) Wine Club Members are free.
